Haven't posted anything for quite a while.We have been getting together for FHE with our extended Family every 2nd Sunday of the month. It has been wonderful. The host Family decides the menu and furnishes the main part then every one else has an assigned dish to bring and the host family prepares the lesson,we have some great food and amazing lesson's.

With such a wonderful big family we have had some birthday's, Anna turned 30 yes I said 30 on June 7th our oldest grandson KASEN turned 11 on June 13th. As far as what we have been doing WORKING!!!!!!!! which we are thankful for. We go to the Temple as often as we can,we still try for every week can't always make it but we do our best:) Hoping to get at least 1 camping trip in this summer also Dave just found his Niece is getting ready to go to the Temple in a few month's he is very excited about that,hopefully we will be able to go through with her,she lives in Oregon not to far. That's about it for now, I need to be better about posting.:):):)

On Christmas Day Dave and I made the rounds to see what Santa brought,He did good everyone was happy. We had a wonderful Christmas this year.

On Christmas Eve we all got together for dinner,we had a great time. I took a picture of each family,I think they turned out cute,We have a beauitful Family,We Love them so very much, but this is not all of us,Sarah and Adom and Aaron and his wonderful are far away,hopefully we will be able to all be together for Christmas again!!

I haven't posted anything for a while,but we have had a wonderful Christmas season so far. We have done alot of great things together. We all got together for a Family Home evening on the 13th and I read the story of the birth of Christ as the grand kids put the Nativity up and then went caroling,and back to our home for dessert. We had a wonderful adult Christmas Party that was very nice great food and visiting. We also had a Beautiful Christmas Concert at Church it was wonderful. Dave and I have been watching alot of Christmas shows,that's been nice. I was sort of sad as this Christmas Season was approaching , because since I had to have surgery last year with out insurance money is very tight so Christmas presents were out of the question this year,but we have done so many other things that has really helped us to feel the true meaning of Christmas that this year has been one of the best Christmases that we have had in a long time.It has been nice also that our Ward Christmas Party was all about Christ,It was wonderful. We have gone up to the mountains for years to cut down our trees,but this year we were not able to get together so we all did our own thing(that won't happen again).I don't have to many pics but I will get some on here. The end of October, Dave an I went to the Washington DC Area to visit with our Son Aaron and his wife Kathrine and family> We had a wonderful time. The colors of the Trees were amazing. We got to go to the DC Temple,which except for seeing our grandchildren was the best part of the trip! We also went to the Franconia Ward ,they were very welcoming. It is nice to know that no matter where you go in the Gospel it's the same. Here are a few pics

Tonight starts the new Institute class. The course is The Book Of Mormon. We have been wanting to go for a while We're very excited about the class. We have herd that Bro James Jensen is a fantastic instructor and that he brings the Scriptures to life. We are both very excited to to LEARN!!!

I'm late posting Pics of My BABY BOY'S 27th Birthday. Garrett turn 27 on Aug 11th. His girl Friend Tara had a really nice party for him great food, swimming , cake and a great time together as a family. Garrett is on a Bowling League and he has been wanting a ball so Tara arranged for us all to chip in and buy him the ball. He was very surprised. I can't believe my baby is 27!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not much has been going on!! Dave has been working 6 days a week and usually late. So I have been having alot of alone time, NOT LIKING THAT TO MUCH. I know it is a ways away but courtesy of Aaron and Kathrine we are going to go to Washington DC the end of October. That is going to be great because 4 of our 13 grand kids live there so excited to get to see them!!!!!!!

On this past Monday Rylee had her graduation from pre school. It was really cute, Anna had talked to her about not being shy and she said that she wouldn't be and that she was going to sing all the songs well here are some pics. I LOVE MY RYLEE She did get happier at the END!!

Because work has been slow, It gave Dave and I an opportunity to spend the day together yesterday. We started the day by going to the Temple, we went to the 7:00 am session which we both Love to go to. After that a had a few things to do. We both took a short nap and then Dave fixed dinner. We then took a walk it was still pretty hot but it was good. We then did some reading and talking. It was a very enjoyable day. It would be nice to be able to spend every day like that BUT we kind of have to do that thing called WORK!!!! Which,by the way I'm thankful that we have!!

A lot has happened in the past month and a half. Dave's daughter Sarah came to visit before she was going to be deployed to Iraq for the 2nd time. It was great to see her, we hadn't seen her in almost 2 years. Our oldest grandson Kasen had his 10th B' Day on June 13th I can't believe that I forgot my camera. I must really be getting OLDDDDDDDDDDDDD!! Also my nephew Michael has juvenile diabetes and his parents had Luau fund raiser it was a big success. Also forgot my camera. The next time something big is going on I will tie the camera around my neck. So obviously I don't have any pics to post sorry I will do better next time.!!!

I haven't posted anything for a while, that's because we don't do much. Memorial Day was nice I went to my parents grave and took some flowers the cemetery looked real nice with all the flags. Then some of the kids came over for a barbecue was good all in all a pretty relaxing day.Dave and I have been to a couple of movies lately Star Trek which was veryyyyyyyyyyyy good and night at the museum was also good. That's all for now.....

MOTHERS DAY

Had a wonderful Mothers Day. At church Bishop Hogge and his wonderful family provided us a great brunch and had we a very Spiritual message from Pres. Martinez I Love his talks, he has a way of bringing the Scriptures to life. But the best is that our Bishop writes a personal letter to each one of us that is so special to me. After church Dave made his famous chicken enchiladas for our dinner (delicious). We went to Justin & Anna's for dessert. Was great!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Disneyland

Well it only took me 3 days to post the pics. The slideshow is sort of big but that was my first time using photobucket so I will do better next time. We had a wonderful time,hopefully next time all of our family can go. Dave went on almost all of the rides which he can't stand scary or fast rides but because Mckenna wanted to go on the rides with her POCKEY, so he went. Dave told me that night after the first day that it was only because of Mckenna that he went on the scary stuff ,he was scared to death on most of them,but he was a good sport.

We are getting excited about our Disneyland trip. We will be leaving on the 28th bright and early. I know that we will have a wonderful time. The weather is suppose to be in the mid to high 60's which will be perfect!!!!!!!!!!!! Will be posting some pics soon.

HAPPY EASTER Well the bunny didn't make it to our house he was to busy going to all of our grandkids homes, oh well thats ok we will just eat all their candy. Dave and I have been enjoying listening to Hymns on this beautiful Easter Morning. Yesterday our ward had an easter egg hunt all of the kids had a great time. Kareem brought Kasen&Kiana, and We brought Cortlen&Jocelyn. Hope everone is having a wonderful Easter.

SCARLETT'S BLESSING

Scarlett was blessed yesterday by her Uncle Justin he gave her a beautiful blessing. We had alot of family and friends that came to celebrate the day with Garrett&Tara. Some of which had never attended an LDS service, which they thought was very Spiritual Uplifting. After the Blessing Tara's family treated us to a Delicious spaghetti lunch,we all had a great time together. Just a little side note ,the blessing dress was Nicole's so it is almost 32 years old!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay so call me crazy but I was at Blockbuster at 11:45 last night to buy my copy of Twilight and I watched it when I got home at 12:07 it was GREAT I bought the 2 disc version and watched all the behind the scenes I had almost finished the 2nd disc and looked at the clock it was almost 4am. On saturday night Alysia & Ryan had a b-day party for Cortlen turned 5 & Jocelyn turned 2 we had a great time & yesterday was my sweet hubby Dave's 52nd birthday we had the family over after church everyone had a good time Dave loves to spend time with his Family His daughter Sarah called him before church and his son Aaron called him the night before his to kids are in the Air Force and don't live in California he misses them very much. We also celebrated Tara's b-day she turned 24 on the 13th. We have alot of b-days in March but its fun to have a big WONDERFUL family.

SCARLETT PURCELL

We have our 13th grandchild SCARLETT AURORA PURCELL came into the world today March 10th 2009 at 10:45 am., she weighed in at 7 lbs 19 in long. Dave and I arrived at the hospital at 1:30 am things were moving along nicely but not fast enough for Grandpa as he had to leave to go to work, but I was able to stay it was a long night but Tara was a trooper. This was #13 for us and it was just as exciting for us as was the 1st was . We now have 8 granddaughters and 5 grandsons there is nothing better than being a grandparent. For some reason the date on the pic's are wrong should be 03/10/09

TEMPLE

Last night Dave & I went to the TEMPLE with my Niece Emily Gale/yes I'm her Great Aunt. We had a wonderful time. It was so cute to see Emily & Robert (her soon to be Husband) together at the Temple. Dave & I just LOVE to go to the Temple. It is by far our FAVORITE place to be TOGETHER. We are both so happy for Emily & Robert as they are about to start their LIVES together. Dave loves to go to the Temple when some one he knows is going for the first time because it reminds him of when he went. Dave & I want to thank the both of them for including us.
Also on Sat we watched Justin & Anna's kids, they are all so cute when we were driving to the store Mckenna started saying that she was getting car sick so Addalie and Rylee said that they were getting sick to so I told them if they got sick just going to the store how were they going to be able to drive all the way to Disneyland they said that they would just throw-up in a towel(they have got it all figured out, I guess we better bring alot of TOWELS!!!!!!!!!)

We had a baby shower for Tara. It turned out really nice,they got alot of wonderfuls gifts. They recieved two really nice strollers so they took one back and was able to get a dresser,changing table and a diper bag.

Dave and I had a wonderful Day. We went to our Stake Temple Day, we were their most of the day. It is so nice to be able to leave the cares of the World behind for a little while. After words we went out to dinner, it was soooooooooooooo WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We LOVE GOING TO THE TEMPLE

This is my first post Dave and I went to see WICKED in SF on Tues night it was amazing. Dave did not want to go but he really liked it. We spent the night and the next day we walked around Fisherman's Wharf most of the day except for the occasional weird-o we had a really nice time. The next big trip will be going to Disneyland with Justin&Anna and girls our Mr. Parker does not get to go this time. I have not been to there since 1984 and Dave since 1970 something. We are pretty excited about it. I have to tell some people that we have a blog or the only people who will read this will be me and Dave.
